Webmail - Webmail allows you to access you email through a web browser.

For cPanel version 11.38

(Home >> Mail >> Webmail)

Webmail allows you to access your email accounts through a web browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer® or Safari®. The main advantage to checking your email via the web, rather than an email application on your computer, is that you can easily access your email account from any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser.

To use webmail:

  • Click Go to Secure Webmail Login.
  • Select the webmail application through which you wish to access your email.
    • Click Enable AutoLoad to cause the webmail application to load by itself the next time you access this page.
  • Complete the fields on the following page to access your webmail.

The email account will be opened through your browser. The webmail client will then retrieve all read and unread messages associated with your email account.

You may also log into webmail without accessing cPanel by entering https://example.com:2096 into your web browser, where your domain name would be entered in place of example.com. Once you provide your username and password, you will be able to select a webmail client.

Note: If you have trouble using webmail, visit our troubleshooting webmail document.

Accessing Webmail

    • Approximately one week after setting up your website, you will be able to access your cPanel interface by replacing the IP address. with your domain name.
  • Enter your email address into the Username field. This should include the domain name. (e.g. [email protected])
  • Enter your password into the Password field.

Changing the webmail interface's language

As of version 11.32, you can select the language in which webmail should appear. This change will only apply to the specific browser session. Selecting a new language from the login screen will not change your account's default language(set using the Change Language screen).

Note: If your browser's Accept-Language header is set, then the login screen will attempt to display the corresponding locale. If the locale requested by the browser header is not available, the login interface will appear in English.
